TRS-CASTROL EYES HISTORIC MAZDA BT-50 DRIFTING CROWN

The TRS–Castrol Drift Team goes all out as it looks forward to clinching its first championship tomorrow in the final leg of the Lateral Drift Championship 2010 in Eastwood, Libis, Quezon City.
The Mazda BT-50, creating sensation as the world’s first ever diesel-powered drifting pick-up truck last year, is set to create another milestone as the world’s first champion drifting pick-up with the support of Castrol, Goodyear, Mazda, Coke Zero, Speedlab, Rota Wheels, Starbright Bodykits, Weapon R, Discovery Suites, Fremuff, OMP, Oakley, Toptul , and C! Magazine.
Multi-titled race car champ Mike Tuason and Bjorn Ongtiaobok, following their brilliant 1-2 finish in the last leg, are tasked to complete its goal of winning its first ever crown.
Barely two years in the drifting scene, TRS-Castrol evolved into one of the top competitive teams behind the racing excellence and competitive quality of the Mazda BT-50 Drift Truck up against other favored cars.
Tuason now wrested the overall lead for the Amateur title race with a total of 508 points or 23 points ahead of the second-running Agojo and his favored Nissan Skyline with 485.
Ongtiabok is third overall with 477.5 points up against Mark Rosca and celebrity Ryan Agoncillo who holds 460 and 424 points respectively.
“The victory is now at hand and we’ll go all out to capture our first ever drifting crown,” said Mike Tuason, TRS Vice president of Operations.
